Japan diasater Relief Effort, Donation to Unicef.

Like many others, I've been following news about Japan everyday for last 10 days or so. I'm very cautiously optimatic the condition at nuclear power plants is stablising. The breadth of the triple disaster in Japan is just staggering, and tregedy so close to home to other industrialized countries also living with nuclear power. For those who lost loved ones, our prayers are with them.

I have extended family members living in Japan. They were not hurt, but they had to live with numerous after tremors since the earthquake. Locationwise, I am concerned for them if radiation will have long term effect on their well being.

Today I added up all the fund raise sales from last week and made online donation to Unicef fund for Children effected by recent disasters in Japan.

I want to sincerely thank everyone who purchased during last week. Portion of your purchase went to a good cause.

After adding up, our shop was able to donate $182.06 on behalf of all the buyers who participated.

Charlotte, Oh Charlotte!

If I ever have a girl-on-girl crush, my ideal crush would be Charlotte Rampling. Sexy, gorgeous, oh so photogenic. She's in her early 60s and her beauty has matured with her age. I saw her on a recent TV interview where she said she loves being photographed and being looked at.
She confessed she is (still) a bit vain(with a laugh). I think that's really sexy.

One Warm Lo----ng Scarf

I hope for spring, but it's still chilly here in NY. I am putting away the thickest of the winter coat, and wearing lighter coat or a jacket. A soft and warm scarf with generous length can provide extra warmth in this tempermental weather. Go with classic black/grey or add a splash of much needed color!
Here are some cozy ideas...

3 Women, 1977

Fashion is alot like movies. It tells a story and creates certain atmosphere. Late great director, Robert Altman's enigmatic movie "3 Women(1977)" is not only a gorgeous to look at, but it transports viewers to a dreamlike world where a "normal" lives of characters is far from normal. Shelley Duvall never looked so ethereal and lovely. With her meticulously coiffed hair, painted face, carefully decorated apartment and fluttery dresses, Duvall poignantly portrays young woman in desperate search for an identity more glamourous than her reality. Definately a movie for late 70s fashion lovers and Shelley Duvall fans.

Blacks and grey, structured.

Spring's just round the corner(I hope!), and there's much temptation to bring out my muted jewel tone prints and jade green spring colors. But sunny days don't mean spring temperature. So I rounded up more seasonably sensible coats and jackets in blacks, greys and whites. Love Dries van Noten drapey jacket, Chanel structured jacket and others pretties from streets.
